Who we are
Gold Man Review, an annual literary magazine located in Salem, Oregon; is aimed at serving our community of authors and artists. Thanks to enormous support, Gold Man Review has had the privilege of publishing some of the best writers in Oregon and, as of 2014; we accept submissions from California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii.
The purpose behind Gold Man Review is to provide a platform for writers and artists while promoting, encouraging, and supporting creativity.
Our mission statement of “Creativity Becomes Community” was inspired by our belief that artists are vital to the community and there is an ongoing need to continue and further education in the arts. Ran and operated by our volunteers, the purpose behind Gold Man Review is to not only provide a platform for local writers and artists, but to promote, encourage, and support creativity within our community. Being teachers, students, entrepreneurs, thinkers, philosophers, poets, and writers ourselves, we are, and will continue to be staunch advocates for the arts. Gold Man Review is the product of our advocacy turned into action.
Gold Man Review is an annual literary journal published the first of November. We regularly submit the work of our contributors to the Pushcart Prize, O’Henry Prize Stories, and the Best of American anthologies.
